A Night of Elegance, Talent, and National Pride. As the World Aquatics delegation prepared to close their visit to Aruba, they were treated to a special event that captured the artistic soul of our aquatic community: the weekly Artistic Swimming demonstration at Divi All Inclusive. But this wasn’t just any performance—this evening featured world-class guests, emotional highlights, and a passionate celebration of the sport’s beauty.
Weekly Demos With Purpose
Every week, Aruba’s Artistic Swimming athletes take to the water to perform for live audiences, blending discipline and creativity in their routines. These demonstrations give athletes valuable exposure and experience, while also promoting the sport to the wider public and tourism audience.
For the World Aquatics delegation, it was a front-row seat to see how Aruba fosters performance culture and builds athlete confidence in real-world conditions.

A Special Duet: Masters on a Mission
This night featured a powerful guest appearance by our Masters duet, Devin and Nakaylee Didder, who are preparing to represent Aruba at the 2025 World Masters Championships in Singapore. Their synchronized performance was both technically impressive and emotionally moving, earning applause from the audience and delegates alike.

Star Power: Kyra Hoevertsz Returns
Adding extra sparkle to the evening was Kyra Hoevertsz, Aruba’s Artistic Swimming icon and two-time World Cup bronze medalist. Her appearance brought inspiration and pride to younger swimmers, many of whom look to her as a role model.
Her continued presence and support underscore the power of alumni athletes in motivating the next generation.

A Perfect Closing Note
The performance marked a graceful and meaningful conclusion to the World Aquatics visit. It showcased not just Aruba’s athletic skill, but our spirit, hospitality, and vision for the future.
As the final notes of the music faded, so too did the official visit—but the connections, inspiration, and momentum built during the week are just beginning.
