The Campeonato Arubano 2026 brought together Aruba’s top swimmers for four exciting days of competition at the Piscina Olímpico Roly Bisslik. Athletes from clubs across the island competed for national titles, delivering outstanding performances, personal bests, and unforgettable moments throughout the championship.

Championship Highlights

One of the defining stories of the meet was the exceptional performance by Elisabeth Timmer, who rewrote the Aruban record books by setting three new Aruban National Records:

• 50m Butterfly – 27.71
• 100m Backstroke – 1:05.80
• 200m Backstroke – 2:25.71

The championship also featured National Age Group Records by Xia Rodriguez on the 50m Backstroke and Ruben Mansur IV on the 800m Freestyle, further highlighting the promising future of competitive swimming in Aruba.

Adding to the excitement, Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Andrew made a special surprise appearance during the championship, inspiring athletes, coaches, and spectators throughout the four-day event.
