Ahead of the C.A.C. Games Open Water Swimming Qualifier and the Himno y Bandera Open Water Challenge, athletes had the opportunity to get familiar with the race course at Mangel Halto, Aruba.
After only catching glimpses of the ocean from their arrival and transfers, this dedicated session allowed swimmers to finally enter the water, explore the conditions and experience the course firsthand.
Understanding the currents, waves and layout of the course is a crucial part of open water competition, and this familiarization session gave athletes the chance to prepare both physically and mentally for race day.
Set against the stunning natural backdrop of Mangel Halto, this first interaction with the course marked an important step toward the exciting competition weekend ahead.
